Terms of Service
Published September 14, 2026. Takes effect October 14, 2026 for accounts that existed before that date, and on signup for accounts opened since — the 30 days in section 13 are notice, so they apply to this version too. Until October 14, 2026 an existing account is held to the terms published July 28, 2026; ask us and we will send you a copy.
These terms are an agreement between you and RankTruck (“we”, “us”) covering your use of RankTruck, a local search marketing service for service businesses. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed past, and we have kept them as short as honesty allows.
1. What the service is
RankTruck monitors and improves your business’s presence in local search: rank tracking, review monitoring and reply drafting, business-listing checks, website health checks, backlink tracking, AI visibility checks, and drafting and publishing content such as blog posts, landing pages and Google Business Profile posts. Each customer runs on their own isolated instance with their own database.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, and we will help you secure it.
3. The free trial
Every account starts with 7 days free. We ask for a card before the trial begins, and we do not charge it during those 7 days. Cancel before the trial ends and you are charged nothing. Cancelling during the trial ends your access straight away rather than letting the free days run out, so if you want the full 7 days, wait until the last one.
We email you 3 days before the trial ends, and the date of your first charge is shown on the billing screen inside the product from the day you sign up. The first charge should never be a surprise.
4. Fees and refunds
After the trial the service costs $100 per month per business, billed monthly to the card on file. The price includes hosting, monitoring, and the AI and data services the product uses on your behalf. If we ever change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it affects you.
Cancelling a month you have already paid for does not cut it short. You keep working right through to the end of that month, and we do not charge you again. Because you keep what you bought, monthly fees are not refunded or split part-way through a month. If our side was broken and you paid for a month you could not use, write to us and we will put it right.
5. Your content and your data
Everything the service writes for you, and everything you put into it, is yours. That includes drafts, published posts, your business details, and your performance data. If you leave, ask and we will give you an export of your data. Thirty days after your account ends we delete your instance and its backups.
6. What we access
Some features need access to accounts you own. You grant that access yourself, through Google’s own consent screens, and you can revoke it at any time from your Google account settings. We request only the scopes the features use, and here is every one of them in plain words:
- Search Console — reading your search performance, and the write access Google bundles into the same permission, which also allows submitting and removing sitemaps. We use it to read; nothing in the product deletes a sitemap.
- Google’s Indexing API — submitting the address of a page so Google is asked to look at it. This is a separate permission from Search Console. We use it on pages the service publishes for you, and when you press the button that asks Google to recrawl a page.
- Google Analytics — reading your traffic figures. Read only.
- Google Business Profile — managing your listing, so the service can post and reply on your behalf.
- Your name and email address on each of the above, so we can show you which account is connected.
If your website is connected, we use the credentials you provide to publish content you have approved.
7. AI-drafted content
Content produced by the service is drafted by AI models using the information you provide about your business. Unless you have turned on automatic publishing, every piece waits for your review and nothing is published without your approval. The service is built not to invent facts, promises or guarantees about your business, but you are the final check: review what it writes, because it is published under your name.
8. Acceptable use
Use the service for a business you genuinely operate or are authorized to manage. Do not use it to publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, or infringes someone else’s rights, and do not attempt to access other customers’ instances or interfere with the service’s operation.
9. What we do not promise
Nobody controls Google, including us. We promise the work: monitoring runs, content gets drafted and published, problems get flagged. We do not and cannot promise a specific ranking, a specific amount of traffic, or a specific number of customers. Anyone who promises you those is guessing.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously, and your data is backed up automatically. Even so, the service is provided as is, and short interruptions for maintenance or from our hosting providers can happen.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, and neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential damages.
12. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time from the billing screen inside the product. During the trial, cancelling ends your access immediately and costs you nothing. After the trial, cancelling ends the agreement when the month you have paid for runs out, and you keep full access until then. We can end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately if these terms are seriously breached. Either way, section 5 governs your data: export on request, deletion 30 days after the account ends.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA.
